So a bit back I posted some patterns for oven mitts to make as quick holiday gifts. Well, I've been busy with them. I decided to use the pattern from Savvy Seams ... with a bit of alteration to the width of the oven mitt. Mine kept coming out way to skinny, but the finger mitts are just too clever.

Here's Eric gamely modeling the set I made for his brother and sister-in-law. They love the sea and sailing so I used a nice teal batik. I've made up cat-themed sets for both mothers, a steam train set for my father, lizards for his sister and have a set of Navy Avation ones for a client of mine on the cutting table, plus a set of red ones for his other sister. Whew! Now who else can I think of to mitt?
