when I was a kid, I HATED having my birthday only 6 days after Christmas. My brother, whose birthday is in June, got swing sets and bikes, but I was usually an afterthought and got something wrapped up in Christmas paper. My parents didn't do it on purpose, just so much to think about this time of year. Now that I am an adult though... the magic of "combined occassion gifts" has become known to me and really it isn't so bad to be able to ask for a new TV with a straight face. :)
