Saving his pants

My brother Benjammin' is a master Tye Dye artist. His work has been worn by Phil Lesh of the Greatful Dead among many other famous musicians. Anyway, a year or so ago he made this pair of cord jeans. It took about 12 hours. BUT the soda ash used to fix the dye reacted very badly with the metal finding in the jeans and ate through the fabric in such a way that the jeans are unwearable. However the work is WAY TO COOL to waste. I am making the legs into messenger bags. I can only make two. Not sure what I'll do with the but of the jeans....
